Good to know,  I'll keep an eye on them anyway.  They are the first to eat anything put in the tank.  Ive seen them peck at Amanos (not actually doing any damage  probably just think its a shrimp flavoured twig  worth sucking on).

I've got 8 nerites definately not enough to feed them in 27l  for more than a few days.

Got a new cabinet for my 125l tank.  Had to move some stuff around.  Not happy with how its arranged but my Synodontis came out for a good explore.

    He's not so little anymore

    Thanks
Plan was to keep it until he was getting too big for his current home (will be about another year for that)  and then rehome him  but he's become a family favourite so may need to get him a bigger tank.

Give the barbs and loaches a bit more swimming room too.

I have a guest.   I'm helping a friend from work who  started keeping fish a few months ago.  He went to a terrible shop (sells dyed fish to let you know the type)  and did a fish in cycle in a massively overstocked 60litre tank. Incompatable fish and located in his conservatory!. Fish all died, he moved the tank and went to a couple of better shops but bought pretty much the same fish. Theyve suprisingly lasted almost 2 months now.  I've sorted out what I could for him  but there was a 1 sided fight going on so I've brought the victim home with me.  Taking it to a new home Saturday.  Unfortunately found my spare hospital tank heater is busted (use it or lose it!) so he's sharing with my Betta.   Wouldnt normally put another fish in with a Betta but he's very timid.  He went down looked at his tempoary tank mate and swam off   It's been in since last night and no problems so far.  They are aware of each other but dont seem bothered.  Unheated tank is on standby just incase

    Anyway my tempoary guest

    South American Bumblebee cat.

Its very cute and I'd keep it but not compatable with my fish in my big tanks  and my Betta tank is too small for a full grown one. So he's going to another friends tank on Saturday.

Aww I'm glad the cat doing well (as can be expected) with the Betta!  *grin*

Shame to hear yet another story of a LFS behaving purely on a profit-basis  annoys me because there are laws against animal cruelty and they are still liable for those laws (I think) and yet they get away with the vast majority of their animal neglect. I mean, one near me sold me various ultimately incompatible fish (which for the most part are getting on, apart from the two Albino Rainbowsharks) and let me have them even knowing that I had literally just put the water in the tank the day before and sold me some "quickstart" water treatment which meant I could put fish in the tank straight away (and, I guess it worked to some extent as we only lost one fish). I now know not to trust the majority of LFS's, especially chain stores.

Yes in this 60l tank (which the sold at the same time as the fish) he had 2 - 3 spotgourami a male and female Betta.  A mix of 8 different tetra,  a red tail shark 3 Mollies,  2 swordtails, a common plec an albino bristlenose,  this bumblebee .

He said he had pretty much the same when he bought the tank (all of which died when he had the tank in his conservatory which he said the shop told him would be an okay location).  I've told him what to keep (pretty much the tetras and the bristlenose and maybe 1 of the Bettas if they are okay with the tetra.

I couldnt take the rest so suggested a better shop to take them to see if he could get store credit for some food or something.

Looking at the pictures it does look more like the one in your link. In which case it would be okay in the tank its in.
