Just looked at videos for the eheim and fluval and the fluval looks a better design..
I had thought the eheim was the best out there??

sometimes just because it has the bigger price tag does not always mean it's better

Maybe someone could give me links to equipment I would need for my clearseal 360l tank for marine?
Think I know what's needed for the tropical.

yes you can put marine in but it's corals and inverts that won't appreciate the copper a very good scrub of the tank will be needed.

Use a Fluval 406 and a couple of RW8 powerheads will do

    Is the 406 powerful enough?
    http://www.aquaristikshop.com/aquaristic/Fluval-406-External-Aquarium-Filter/348003/?gl=GB&gclid=Cj0KEQiAqdLDBRDD-b2sv6-i6MsBEiQAkT3wAnljVhNPhH9TN4GbPd1Nvep1U3h5DC2oUH7AOd1U-KUaArUw8P8HAQ
So those powerheads just push the water simulating currents?
    I'll need a heater still?
    Skimmer?
T8 lights (higher up than the oem ones?)

Yes you'll still need a heater and skimmer would be beneficial. And lighting depends if you want coral or not.

Been told go for filter that's higher than volume so looking st this http://www.fluvalaquatics.com/uk/product/A412-g6-advanced-filtration-system/#.WHVRSoHfWEc
    Assume compatible?
Does the skimmer just sit on the top and need cleaning every so often?
Was thinking of having live rock and clown fish

Yeah i think that should be fine but the 406 should do i think. Theres different types of skimmers but yes you normally just empty the collection pot at the top every so often.

Are you using the externals for biological filtration?

Does the skimmer aid the filter or is it not required?
Also does the skimmer feed s tank below?

Well most reef tanks these days use live rock for filtration and a protien skimmer is classed as mechanical filtration i think. Most people use external filters in marines for chemical filtration.
