Pleco "cave" UK
« on: March 26, 2017, 11:53:46 am »
Hi all,

I need to find something for my 8" Pleco to go in. He likes to try and kick the catfish out of their corner caves but they are too small for him, so want something just for him.

Any good ideas for a fish his size? Everything ive seen online seem too small. Thanks

Funny as they may sound but a ceramic type plant pot would be ideal. Get one big enough and break it in half.

Another option is to buy a bit of tubing from the likes of B@Q and use it.

    Hi.

You can buy some pottery caves from Weston mill pottery. Sorry I tried to post the link but it didn't work.

They sell them in varying sizes, some quite large. But you have to buy 3 so may work out quite expensive. I have bout from there and they are very good.

Alternatively Orwell aquatics sell them on the internet.

    Hope this helps

These can be really beautiful. Look out for glazed pots in different colours and sizes - they make the tank look like a diver's find somewhere in the Mediterranean :)

Waste pipe cut in half and covered in sand or gravel (use aquarium sealant). Cheapest option probably.
Sent from my PC as I still don't understand the the logic for mobile internet usage ;) *grin*
