What type of pleco is this?
« on: May 05, 2016, 07:35:24 pm »
Hi all,

We was at pets at home Gillingham Kent today returning some pebbles and looked at their fish just to be nosey :). We noticed two types of pleco in a tank full of endler guppys that were marked up as being Bristlenose plecos. We have normal and albino bristlenoses ourselves and are 99% sure what they have up at pets at home are not BN.

We have attached some photos of each type of pleco in the tank. The ones called PAH 1 and PAH 2 are one type and photos 3,4,5 are the other type.

Can anyone tell us what these are?
juwel vision 180L and lido 120L

Clown loaches
whiteseam bristlenose pleco
bristlenose pleco(normal and albino)
stardust pleco
king tiger pleco
swordtails
platys
tetras
rainbow and panda garra (rufa)
flying foxes
harliquins

set up since 2012/2013

They're both Common plecs. 1,2 are Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps. 3,4,5 are P. pardalis I think.
