Thanks,

I can really recommend Harlequins, they shoal really well and are aways darting about the tank together.

I have the LED lighting that generate about 1.65w per gallon, thought this was in the moderate lighting category but maybe someone can confirm???

But that would explain why some other plants i have had in the past have turned to a lighter shade.

It looks good but I think the Microsorum has a nutrient deficiency, which is why it is losing its colour. Consider dosing some trace elements into the water.

You are probably right, for a tank, but I suppose nothing compares to sunlight, even sunlight dappled through the branches of overhanging trees.

TNC lite? You can get it from aquarium gardens. Or a trace mix from APF

Would TNC light be ok to dose with EasyCarbo?

No I don't think so. I don't like the idea of having to do something every day, or risk damaging the plants. ( we like to go on holiday and away for weekends!) They are mostly growing beautifully, some a bit too fast, at the moment so I'm happy.
There is one plant that is growing very slowly, so I hope it's ok. If not I'll remove it. Unfortunately it's the plant I haven't identified yet, and don't have any pictures of it to hand. (Light is off now)
You have different plants to me though, so maybe they need it.

Gruesome find in my tank this morning. Half a fish, very discoloured and a bit furry, hanging in one of the plants at the front of the tank. All live fish doing their usual hiding in vegetation at back of tank. Don't know how long it's been dead for was out yesterday afternoon and evening. Fairly sure it was an ember tetra. Maybe the one that was always paler than the rest.
    :(

Thanks Plankton. I've just done 50% water change, is that enough? Test results  are fine, but I know they don't test for everything, like bacteria for example!

Also, the greyish ember tetra I assumed was the one that died, is still there, or I have another one that has gone grey.

I only change 10%, so 50% is great! *grin*

Can you run your parameters by me again, just so that I don't have to trawl through the whole thread again please....?
