I've noticed a bit of interest in the Marine section of late and thought it might be time to post a 'Sticky' on the subject of 'How to Start a Marine Tank'. That way allot of information will be in the one place, providing a reference to those wanting to expand into the Marine Realm.

I'd like to take a moment to say that most if not all the information provided within this article has been obtained from http://www.reefcentral.com/. A BIG, BOLD, BRASH American reef site that has been around since 1999. I was a Moderator of this site from 2001 to 2004 when the site was fairly young and easy to manage, but today the site regularly sees 50,000-100,000 posts per month, so alot of information to manage, I'm glad I resigned when I did :D. I'm not an active member of this site these days, and mainly use it for research, I rarely post any comments at all, there are plenty of well informed new Moderators to handle that task
