Unfortunately I've been away travelling a lot recently so have neglected my tank log. Has been nice to spend a week at home which has given me time to post an update.
I lost one GBR just after Christmas, I think this was due to the paired rams who have taken over the filter end of the tank.
All of my plants also succumb to stunted growth and I think potassium deficiency. So I have started dosing Seachem products, Flourish, Flourish Excel, Flourish iron and Flourish Potassium and have rescaped. Also I removed the carbon sponge from the juwel filter and added another blue fine sponge, as my research has led me to believe that carbax is not good for plant growth especially when dosing ferts.
Any advise and feedback on using the seachem liquid ferts will be appreciated. Should I be using root tabs?

Looking good.
Root tabs don't do any harm.

Just ordered some Eco complete to replace the gravel substrate. Has anyone used this before?

Eco complete arrived, so replaced existing gravel yesterday. Fingers crossed it helps plant growth.

It took my Dicrossus at least 6 tries over 6 months before any eggs lasted long enough to hatch. The babies are now nearly a week old. When first born they were smaller than Daphnia but now they're about 5mm long
FIngers crossed your Rams will get the hang of it soon!

So three weeks after replacing gravel substrate with Eco complete. I have to say plant growth is good. The Anubis has flowered all this week ( even though it keeps uprooting) and Valois is growing stronger than ever and already sprouting runners. Dwarf grass is growing like crazy too.
I love the dwarf neon rainbows, what a difference they have made. When they start chasing each other around the tank it's great to watch.
