Had my clown Loach for 7 years and been through the normal ich White spot issues but now he has a large white spot on his head and he is rubbing it on gravel all the time so must be bothering him. Can anyone help??

Hi
I have had my clown for 7 years and he has suddenly got a large white spot on his head that I don't recognise. He keeps rubbing it on the gravel so must be bothering him. Can anyone help with what it is?
Thanks

What are you feeding?
It looks like the start of hexamita, I think it's Octozin that deals with it.
It's normally caused by long term lack of minerals and vitamins in the diet (happened to mine as well).

Hi yeah I did have two threads Thanks for sorting that I'm new here They have tetra wafers and prima and they have blood worms once or twice a week and they have cucumber once a week. They have been fine on this for 7 years but if they should be having something else please let me know as I love these guys and want to do the best for them. I will look into what you think it might be and look at treating it. Thanks
