Thank you for the replies.

We have double dosed the tank with stress coat as it says on the bottle it helps to heal problems. And plankton we have read your link before and have been feeding them on shrimp pellets, catfish pellets, Veg pellets, Cucumber, and will be starting to feed them peas(ideas from your link).

We did try get some pictures of him yesterday but it was very hard as the only time he might come out is feeding time and all the other fish were in the way so pictures arnt as clear as we would like but you can sorta make out the redness.

He hasn't been out at all today but we can see him underneath the bogwood and we are becoming very worried that he might die. He keeps laying on his side almost upside down and breathing very fast. We are aware that clown loaches can sleep on their sides(which we have seen before) but he seems to be more on his back. Is this a sign he is going to die?

The other cloach keeps going under the bogwood where he is and just sits with him and is also breathing quite fast. We added four more clown loaches to the tank today so the healthier one is swimming with the new ones but will keep going under the bogwood to the other one as if he is checking to see if he is ok?

Pictures have been attached below but not quite sure if you will be able to see his mouth clearly.

Are his barbels damaged? I can't make out from the pics. It could be infection from damage. I have sand with loaches, so haven't seen anything similar.

You need to start feeding more meat protein, so frozen (but defrosted before feeding) blocks will be essential, also for the corys.
As a note, keep your eye on the loaches with the corys at feeding time. I wouldn't keep them together again, as the loaches are so bonkers during feeding that they can damage the corys.

I have managed to get a picture of his mouth as I found him up against the filter this morning. He is still breathing (not fast anymore same as other fish) but has lost more of his colour and was laying up against the filter upside down. I managed to get him into a jug to take a good picture of what I think it the cause of this. He came out last night as I put some red and yellow pepper in the tank and he was eating that fine. But this morning he was found up against the filter.

I really do not want to loose him as this clown means a lot. Is there anything I can do to save the little guy?

I have attachted a picture of him below. This is what he is like at the moment.

I still can't see the barbels properly.
He's not skinny, if he was I would be very wary about the prognosis.
At this stage I don't know what to suggest, unless you try an internal parasite med like Interpet #9. Half dose any meds.

The clown loach sadly died the same day before we could do anything to help him. His barbles weren't damaged, he just had red lines near his mouth like he had cuts. All our other clown loaches are ok now so hopefully it wont happen to anyone else. Thank you for your help though.

    Thanks
