Cycling nitrates up, a good sign?
« on: December 11, 2017, 08:36:33 pm »
Hi, so I tested my water today and ammonia is 0.5 (after going up to 4ppm and down to 2ppm over the weekend) nitrite is 1.5 and my nitrates up at 40.0. Does this mean my cycles going super fast and should in theory my ammonia and nitrite keep dropping - hopefully! Really pleased I think that it’s going so well! Well, I’m prosuming it is with my nitrates already kicking in?

Sounds like your cycle is coming along :) make sure to be checking parameters often though.

Have you tested the tapwater for nitrates to see where your starting point is? ;)
It does sound like it's working though, don't go above 2ppm with the ammonia now.
Sent from my PC as I still don't understand the the logic for mobile internet usage ;) *grin*
