Sorry about the bad picture but can anyone help me I'd this pleco, can you confirm if it's a common or sailfin,  they all look the same on the Google search that's all thanks,  thanks guys
6 years knowledge marine+tropical

65 gallon molly/guppy planted tank   

5 female mollys
2 male mollys
5 female juv guppy
1 female adult guppy
2 male guppy
Common pleco (only a grow out tank)

Just bought a 20 gallon breeder for fry tank.

    I'm not so sure. Can you get a pic of its head or its belly, or the whole fish? Could be gibbiceps ('sailfin') or one of the 'commons'. They're all Pterygoplichthys so officially they're all Sailfin Plecs.

    P. gibbiceps, the one usually called Sailfin because the dorsal is bigger than the commons, has a ridge along the middle of the head. I don't see that. Plus the pattern suggests it's a common, but there are a few species sold as commons. It looks like P.disjunctivus, which has a different pattern to P. pardalis on the sides and head. Those are the main two sold as commons.

    It's not clear but still disjunctivus I think.
