My new tank (Lido 120) neon tetra only
« on: May 23, 2020, 09:21:37 am »
Managed to pick up a Juwel lido 120 for £50, not the tank I was after but at that price I thought I’d try and work with it.
At first it didn’t fit in the space I’d be allocated so I decided to turn it sideways and that actually worked out pretty well as it is now visible from both rooms.
My plans for the tank are to have a nice school of neon tetra, lightly planted with rocks and wood.
I will be upgrading the old tube lights and replacing them with a fluval aquasky unit.

Today’s progress: cut acrylic to size for the built in filter/sump.
I will be spaying it black drilling holes and fixing it into place this week

I wasn’t happy with the thin acrylic that I used, ordered some thicker stuff cut to size.
Waiting on the drill bit to arrive then I can make holes and get it siliconed into place.
