Your 60l tank is a total SNAP with mine!! ☺️

In my 60l I had 7 cherry barbs, 11 green neons (only asked for 9....ended up with 11!) and 5 c.habrosus

Had to move the corys to my new guppy tank though as temp was a tad high for them once I got my blue rams.

Your tank is much better looking though

646514-0New air pump arrived and installed to the aquarium and it looks great!
Also got some pictures of the tank, please let me know what you think of the photo I have been messing with settings. There is also a picture or two of the barbs as they are starting to explore more!
(Yes I know there is sand on the plant, i ruffled some sand messing with the bubble stone.

20% Water Change tomorrow and the fish will be getting freeze dried blood worms for the first time!

    Looks good. :)
Don't forget to soak the freeze-dried food in tankwater for at least 20 mins to rehydrate. ;)

Fish loved the blood worms, was the most active I have seen them yet. Their colours are getting more vibrant by the day and they are becoming more accustomed to people.

I added some new sand on top of the old sand as it was getting thin, rinsed thoroughly and is slightly different colour to the old sand but i don't mind the mix!

So I looked up the water Hardness levels in my area and as a was sure i have soft water. So this should suit tetras and barbs

    Calcium mgCa/l - 16.36
    Magnesium mgMg/l - 1.21
    Hardness as mg/l CaCo3 - 45.81
    Clark degrees - 3.21
    French Degrees - 4.58
    German Degrees - 2.57

    Yes, lovely and soft.
I know what I would keep and breed in that.......zebra plecs. My wife would have other ideas about spending hundreds on fish though...... ;)

With the fish settling in nicely a week on, I have been able to check the male:female ratio.

It would appear i have 2 males and 5 females, so not much colour as i would like to have but i plan to add neons in the next couple weeks once things quiet down at work.

I think the female cherry barbs are beautiful! I have one in particular and her gold stripe is stunningly bright. Hopefully yours will colour up more! I bought more females as the males were too aggressive with each other so I think your ratio is ok ☺️

I was wondering if my lighting hours are ok, i have no live plants in the aquarium so its more for reducing algae.
    Currently, 10am-1pm, 2pm-10pm

    Tonight's water tests:

    PH (low) - 7.6
    PH (High) - 7.4
    Ammonia - 0ppm
    Nitrite - 0ppm
    Nitrate - 0ppm

All looking well, fish are very active and their colours look great and eating well.  *fish2*
