Dried Foods
« on: January 11, 2019, 05:12:30 pm »
My LFS is doing a special offer on dried foods but haven't fed dried for a while, always thought it wasn't the best for the fish anybody got any thoughts or experiences on these?

Soak for at least 20 minutes in tank water before adding to the tank, but frozen is better. ;)
Sent from my PC as I still don't understand the the logic for mobile internet usage ;) *grin*

I’d say the modern dried foods are a better staple than any other foods. They’re pretty complete with regard to fish nutritional requirements, whereas any one live or frozen food is lacking. Those foods pictured are very specific though so I wouldn’t say they were at all ‘complete’.

I've used frozen food for years but the only one I've came across is the quartet stuff you get in pets at home. Anybody got any better suggestions either frozen or dried?

It’s reckoned to be a good food now by some, but I still won’t use it. It always used to be one of the worst brands...
