What is this coral doing? It sheding a load of mucus recently. But there's a ton of white things 'falling' from it but the middle section is fine.
New-ish tank.

Hi lexy,
What type of coral is it, any chance of a better pic?
The reason it's shedding mucus is that it is trying to protect itself, the reason the middle is ok is because the recession is from the edge.
From the pic it doesn't really look like the skeleton, which wouldn't really come away like it has, more like eggs of some description. Have you removed any of the white things to see if they are hard to the touch?
If the tank is new then I am assuming the coral is as well, do you dip your corals prior to putting them into the tank?
