Repashy food - getting mouldy :-S
« on: February 01, 2019, 09:47:10 pm »
I've recently switched to Repashy gel food. Followed their instructions, I keep it in the fridge, but I have noticed it is getting mouldy. I store it in the fridge, in the glass jar with a lid. Anyone else had a similar issue or have any ideas of where I'm going wrong?..

Have you made up the whole pot, or just a little at a time?

Just a little, then cut it up into smaller pieces. It is meant to be kept in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, but it has started getting mouldy probably after a week or so

I've not kept it that long, only made up small quantities.

Not yet, was gonna freeze it as a last resort. I put it in the coldest part of the fridge  (apparently side doors are not as cold :-S), will see if it makes any difference

To be honest mine doesn’t last longer than a week or so in the fridge!

Yep, so was mine. Maybe it's just too moist or whatever. I've started making up smaller batches, so I won't have to worry
