Anyone into rare characins?

(1/1)

Rusty Shackleford:
Or just characins full stop. I am, bigly! Albeit my collecting of them has only just started with Tucano tetras and Moenkhausia Cosmops. Just hoping to get some information on where to buy from etc, as characins are not exactly top shelf stuff in the aquarium trade.

plankton:
I have no idea where you get them from.
You could as Aqualife at Leyland, they can get rarer fish sometimes.
Both nice tetras by the way, never seen them live in the UK. :)

Rusty Shackleford:
Awesome, my Google searches hadn't led me to Aqualife. The Tucanos look exactly as in the pictures, the Cosmops are far less colourful but then I've only had mine a couple of days. Nice looking, nonetheless.

My list so far is:

Aqualife Leyland
Sweet Knowle,
Pier in Wigan,
Wildwoods, north of London,
Wharf, Nottinghamshire,
Ferrybridge,

Silksworth, I believe have closed down.

I have had fish (by post) from Aqualife Leyland, excellent service and fish are very well packed.
I have visited Sweet Knowles (Stratford-upon-Avon) a few times but not overly impressed.
Wharf Aquatics and Pier Aquatics both have a great reputation.
