How to make Substrate
« on: October 03, 2019, 09:24:49 pm »
I need maybe 100/150 litre of substrate for my tank. At the moment i have about 2,000 litre of water in my tank soaking my Cherry wood. When the wood is soaked i will need a substrate  for below my sand.
I read on Google how to use compost from a garden centre and fill a tray with the compost and put it in an oven at 200c for 20 minutes to kill anything eggs, slugs ect.
Has anybody made there own compost and if so how did you do it.I enclose a bad picture of my tank with some of the Cherry wood from a tree i felled two years ago.
