Newbie problem with platys
« on: February 09, 2020, 07:42:24 am »
Hi all, I'm new to the fish keeping scene and as most it seems I have been led up the garden reef by me local fish seller. I have 3 platys and 2 panda Cory's and A 3namano shrimp in my 80l tank. I was told that I could add fish after 3 days, I now know this to be bull 💩💩, so I have been monitoring the levels and my ammonia is down to 0.25ppm but nitrite is between 3 and 4pmm, I'm doing 20 to 30% water changes daily and adding prime to bind the baddies up but my platys are not happy, they are sitting at the bottom on the tank, fins clenched and shaking. What else can I do to help them?
Any advice greatly appreciated
