Stocking suggestions please
« on: March 13, 2020, 09:15:03 am »
Hi I'm currently setting up a fish tank at work. I'm looking for some fish that will do nicely in 16 dgh water, tropical and also in a planted set up with wood, mountain stone and some fine sand. My boss has told me he doesn't want anything too expensive but he'd like something colourful for the kids to look at and something that catches the eye.

The tank is an AquaOne AR-620, it is around 90 litres I believe. We have water of 16 dgh, and we dont want any fish that will multiply.
I'm 18, trying to get into the hobby and learn as much as I can.

Neale Monks mentions quite a few here if you scroll down. Some of them are small enough for 90 litres (the Madagascan rainbows, tetras, lampeyes...). But for colour you can’t beat a tank of good quality male guppies... or platies.
