Sand substrate

Hey guys wondered if any of you could help me, I’ve recently changed to sand in both my community tanks and I’m really struggling with what to use to clean the substrate...

Does anyone have any suggestions on something I can use because at the minute I use a gravel cleaner and it’s just leaving a lot of debris still in tanks.

i saw a video recently, the guy disturbed all the sand, let the debris settle, then hovering the substrate cleaner  slightly above the newly settled debris.

Make your own gravel cleaner. Just cut the bottom off a plastic bottle and stick some tubing in the neck (it doesn’t even have to be a tight fit). Flow rate is governed by three things, height of the drop, width of the pipe, and width of the bottle. A wide bottle spreads out the flow(?), so you can make a really good gravel cleaner that you can plunge into the sand for next to nothing.
