Transferring media from one filter to another...
« on: June 01, 2020, 05:56:29 pm »
Here's my question,I have a fluval g6 for my boyu lz1500 and it developed a problem. The boyu has a filter in the lid which I rarely use so I took out the medium out of the fluval and used the boyu filter whilst I got the fluval fixed, can I just put the media back into my fluval now I've got it back and carry on as normal?

In a word, yes. It makes no difference at all to the bacteria what filter they’re in, as long as they’re getting their flow of water.
