Bloodworm Allergy. Alternative food for AD Frog?
« on: August 31, 2020, 12:44:59 am »
Hello, I currently have one ADF in a tank with other small fish. He lives here happily with them since his friends passed away. I think he's around 5 years old. I drop in pellets for him to eat but the cory tend to eat them before he has chance, the only thing i know he will eat and will actively go after are bloodworms which i've fed him frozen for many years now. The problem is that i'm becoming increasingly allergic to them. Just today with barely any contact my hands developed hives. I'm wondering if I could feed him another frozen food instead, perhaps frozen black worms? I've also gave him tubifex worms in the past but he's a really picky eater and ignores them.

Has anyone ever also experienced allergic reactions to bloodworms?

Any advice is appreciated.
