Lily Pipes / Outputs

Hi all,
Been out of the hobby a little while.... a 75 Litre tank exploded in my hallway and I left the hobby behind!.... for two years. I'm back.
I set up a little 6 Gallon (US- I find it easier to find information using US Gals) for a couple of female bettas (I did have more, but I rehomed a few and one died)... But I've re-caught the bug and got my old 15 Gal down from the loft. I'm planning a nice plated tank and I already have everything to get going.
HOWEVER, it looks like I need some new inlets/outlets for my external filter. What I have is an Eheim Ecco Pro 130. The specs online (
https://eheim.com/en_GB/aquatics/technology/external-filters/ecco-pro/ecco-pro-130
) states a hose diameter of (and I quote) 12/16mm.....
But what does this mean? I am trying to find some stainless lily pipes online, but I have to choose between 12 and 16mm sizes? So which one do I go for?????
Thanks in advance
James

12mm internal diameter, 16mm external diameter. It’s a standard size.

@blackghost Thank you! That makes sense- I'll try and purchase some inlet/out suitable for 12mm piping.
I think it may have shrunk... my vernier caliper has it as 10.5 inner diameter and 13 mm outside? But the eheim piping states 12/16 mm on it?...... is this possible?

Seems very strange.
Heat the end in a cup of hot water and you’ll get a very snug fit.
