Should I upgrade my internal filter for external
« on: January 31, 2021, 07:16:19 pm »
Hi I've got a Juwel 240l tank which I've had up and running for maybe 3 and a bit years now.

It's quite heavily planted and not overly stocked at the moment.

I have been using the internal filter without many issues, I don't bother changing the sponges I just give them a rinse out every now and then.
Haven't really had many issues but do get quite a bit of waste on the substrate and plants which I have to clean.

I'm thinking of rescaping the tank and wondered if it would be a good time to remove the internal filter and replace with a Oase biomaster thermo.

Obviously its quite a bit to spend out so wondering if I will see much difference in changing and if it would be worth doing it?

Any advise would be great!

Thanks.
