Hi there.
« on: April 01, 2012, 10:27:10 am »
I have kept coldwater fish for about 6 months for my girlfriend but now it have decided to go tropical. I have a 60L Marina 60 tank stocking 4 Silvertip Tetra, 2 Bristlenose Plecs, 1 temperate shrimp and 1 Male Fighting Betta. I have had the tank just over a week and everything is going great apart from one thing.

I have a very fine sand substrate and I can't seem to shift the waste, I have been using a syphon style gravel cleaner but it just seems to suckling up the sand and still leave the waste. Any ideas would be appreciated, would an air powered gravel cleaner be better? So I don't have to go so close to the bottom? The sand is white so you can probably imagine it's not very aesthetically pleasing.
