Right - this is tiny... too tiny, but it's been working for six months or more. I wouldn't recommend it as an easy option. Definitely not the 'next step' after goldfish bowl, but a scraping together of every bit of learnt knowledge and borrowed wisdom. It's the largest space we could find at the time I wanted to get started again. Now the family have moved on, it really is time to expand. YAY!
It took about 4 weeks to cycle (fishless), which I thought was quick, but all levels were correct and sustained.
Technology:5W heater, Azoo Mignon 60 hob filter with extra ceramics.
Fauna: 2 x glowlight tetras, 1 x male endler's 'guppy', 3 x Otocinclus
Flora: Eleocharis parvula, Anubias 'nana', Vallisneria 'torta', C. wendti, Java moss, stray bits of Java fern.
(Sorry about the glare on the photo. I think I saw a thread about photography which I'll dig into. You know, there's LOADS on this forum. Brilliant!)
