I only paid £1 each as i thought they were ordinary peppered cory (thats what they were advertised as by private breeder)

Edit: just deleting some wrong info, googled the wrong thing lol

Bought 2 angelfish today to complete my tank.  They are so beautiful.  One is silver and the other a light gold.  I had a bit of a mishap while acclimating them- the bag fell in the tank and some tank water got in the bag (i'm hoping the bag water didn't go into the tank) so the ph changed quite quickly but i didnt add anymore water for about 45 mins to get them used to it, then continued adding some every 5 mins.  Hope they are ok because of this.  At the minute they are just exploring the tank, must be a huge change compared to the tiny tank at the lfs.  Their body's are just slightly bigger than a 50p piece so still quite small.

I've had my female guppies for 6 weeks now yet neither of them have given birth (i dont think anyhow)  One of them is getting bigger and bigger-in fact i dont think she can get any bigger with out popping, yet showing no signs of birthing yet.  The other i think may of aborted the pregnancy when i changed them to the smaller tank so she is still quite thin (though slightly) pregnant.

whats the temp of the wee tank?  I think mine is quite cool at 24.5 roughly, never much away from there.
mine always look pregnant nowadays but I never see babies, might be since I took a lot of plants out now though they have nowhere to hide from the bigger mouths (in my case)

Hello, long time no see :)  Anyway my tank is thriving but i still feel something is missing from it.  Although technically i am slightly overstocked, there is always a big gap somewhere in the tank i I reckon a small school of 4-5 fish would make it look better.  Any suggestions?  Or should i just add to the shoals i already have?

My tank as it stands now,  One of the plants (top left) got loose and wrapped itsself round another plant.  I was going to love it back but the fish (esp guppies) love to swim in and out of the leaves, so i left it.  It won't kill the plant being up there will it?  Notice the massive space top right-which is why i think a few more fish would be ok?

I got these 2 Angelfish together at the same size, but 1 hasn't grown at all.

looking good :) the angels will fill up the gappy water soon enough, you can't really get small fish as the angels will soon have them for tea either lol
unless you realise that and still want the wee fish till they are food :(
I would try for harlequins, a different variety to what you already have :) (though they too could end up as food or at least kill :(

Ha ha, no I don't want food for the angels, I didn't mean tiny fish.  Might get a few more rams, and hopefully get a female as I think mine are both males. And maybe 1 or 2 more rainbowfish as I lost a couple a while back :(

Thought I'd resurrect this thread with a video of my tank 1 year later :)  only just added the plants as the other ones died :( hoping they fill out soon.  Have just added 3 panda cory to my other 3.
