28L Fry tank - cycling - advice needed
« on: January 13, 2013, 09:01:32 pm »
Hiya

I am doing a fishless cycle on 28L tank for my fry. The fry is small therefore, once the cycle is complete will their waste be enough to ensure that the cycle continues?

I have a batch (20ish) baby bristlenoses (born 04/01/13)

7 juvenile platties (born November)

20+ baby platties (born 04/01/13)

thanks

Yes there should be because there will no doubt be uneaten food as well as small amounts of waste from the fish. Should be fine.

If you have a daily maintenance and water change routine you will be removing any toxins. I set mine up with a squeeze and a rub from a filter from another tank.
