Feeding bristlenose

Thought I'd better double check... the pair of bristlenose I got in the ebay tank, I've been feeding them one of two types of plec/algae sinking flakes, approximately 1 flake a day which I break up. That and whatever else they pick in tank, although that one is near enough free of significant algae. I think they may get some of the Tetra Prima more intended for the barbs too. Is that sufficient or should I look at giving them other foods too? Think I've seen various cooked green veg offered by others too, although I don't usually have greens at home!

I buy a courgette, slice it then freeze it. When I want to feed, I get a slice out, put it on a saucer with a good amount of water, nuke for 30s-1min, cool, weight it and pop it in. Boiled, shelled peas can be crumbled in, smaller fish will enjoy the smaller crumbs, bigger bits will go to the plec.

Mine go crazy for cucumber, got 2 albino bristle nose and gotta put 2 chunks down and they sit on one each. Use a 'screwcumber' to weigh them down with.

Mine get algae wafers and 90% of the time courgette and peas,sometimes mushroom and sweet potato.
Cucumber is ok randomly as a treat as it doesn't contain enough calories/nutrients to be the main diet.
I used to blanch all my food until recently as they'll eat it as is now i just use a bbq skewer to weigh my veg down.

I also give mine courgette, a 1cm thick slice will usually be gone within 24 hours. Just stick a spoon through mine and cover it over with sand, often times he clears out the sand underneath it leaving a big crater I have to fill in.
