Oto's moving tanks
« on: June 08, 2013, 10:32:27 am »
I'm moving all my fish into a bigger tank, and I'm a little worried about how my Oto's will do.  I'll be moving the 2 pieces of bogwood and the plants over to the new tank, but the substrate is new as I've put sand into the new one.

Any tips on how I can help my little Oto's, I don't want to lose them.

Put something in a window in a bowl of water to grow algae on. Do you have any tank friendly rocks?

If plants with large leaves, it wont be a problem. Use ase much old water as well.

You could give the Oto's some veg like courgette to supplement them while the tank matures.
I blanche it first as my Oto's   like it best when it's soft

I do put courgette in at the moment, they just ignore it as far as I can see.  But then they might be more interested in it once they move.
