What do you guys who keep BN's put in the bottom of your tank.
 
 
cause i have 2 BNs in a temp tank(at the moment) with silver sand in the bottom. they are digging the sand up. if they dig it up it makes the water cloudy.
18x12x12 - Tank

2 Endler/Guppy hybrid,
2 Albino BNs
7 or so Red Cherry Shrimp

    Mix of sand and gravel. Let them mess around with it, it's what's natural to them. Not much point putting big stones in and not letting them do it!
    What filter you got? Some fine poly pads on top will get rid of the finer stuff from the water..

    i use the fine gravel in all my tanks...

    I have gravel in mine (rounded - not sharp) BN's love to dig in it :rolleyes:

    sand with the odd patch of pea gravel around the base of plants

    Easy fix just hide there spade:D
     
    Mainly washed river sand  with a pea gravel section to one end.
     
    What sand have you got in there as if it clouds up your tank did you wash it 1st.
