Zebra Otos
« on: February 12, 2014, 10:14:03 am »
Has anyone on here ever kept Zebra Otos and are they difficult to keep?

I'm having a bit of a hard time finding any at lfs or online, does anyone know where I could acquire some?

Otocinclus cocoma? Think that's the species notwithstanding my spelling. I don't think they're much different from many other Otos. You will need a 6+ month mature tank for them, and preferably a little algae. They are expensive though, Rare Aquatics sometimes gets them.

Yes, I read that the aquarium needs to be mature. Have plenty brown algae now though!

I'll drop Rare Aquatics an email.

    Thanks Lurch!
