Hi All,

Was really excited about setting up my first aquarium.

Brought a custom tank all my equipment then the big day come to set it all up.

After about 3 day I noticed white flakes in the water and on the surface.

Now one week in after filling my tank only as what can be described as big crystals are starting to form.

I was absolutely gutted and I’m not sure what I should do now to sort this problem or what is causing it.

I followed all the information from others about setting up my first tank so not sure where I want wrong.

Any information about what I should do next would be much appreciated.

Thanks on advance

Can you give some more info about your set up and post a few pics.

Did you rinse everything out before you used it, especially the media in the filter?
Sent from my PC as I still don't understand the the logic for mobile internet usage ;) *grin*
