Thanks Mitch

I think both are to small for a QT tank, well depends on the fish but they need to be able to stay in there comfortably for 6 weeks QT
    Roma 240:  Angels tank
6ft: Discus, Red head Geos, Phantom plecs
200l work tank:  Keyhole Cichlid, dwarf rainbows, loads of cory and a BN

Both or too small unless your getting some tiny neon tetras or some small rasbora but think even they would be better with something bigger, I'm currently using a 30ltr for a single saulosi fry that's between 1/2' and 1'

Yeah 35ltr should do for small fish, probably wouldn't quarantine anything bigger than a single molly or ram in it or a few small small fish

This is a great idea.  Here's one I prepared earlier.

It's 35l and I'm using it to house some platy fry

Looks good did you take out the fry straight away or leave them in there for a while?

    Thanks Mitch

For a while the fry lived in a fry net in the main tank.  This small tank was going to be a qt tank for a sick guppy but unfortunately he died before it was ready.  So the fry got a bigger house instead.

Yh fry are best kept in a net for a short while till they grow a little otherwise when you feed them in the bigger tank they use more energy to get food so less is used for growing

I wonder though if the fry are producing enough waste to feed the filter bacteria though?  Atm the levels look fine as the filter has media from the main tank but worry the levels might go up if the bacteria starts to die
