Hey guys and girls.

already have another tank thread on here but I might as well start again considering my tank situation changed a lot today.

Is the plant (variegated) on the left of the bigger tank real? If so, take it out, pot it up and put it on a windowsill before it rots in the tank.....(dracanea - or similar spelling - I think).

Front left just behind the camper van, often sold as aquarium plants but they just like moist atmospheres will rot down in a tank

I'm not sure jjb he came with the tank as in was a bit of a rescue mission.

There are two of them in the Thank.

Others will confirm, but he may be a common or one of the other larger plecos in which case he'll outgrow your tank :(

I'd like to see a better pic, but he could well be a common - up to around 24" when adult, and they do grow quickly.......

Well I will try and give him a measure tonight see how big he is.

Surly I can keep them for a week they ain't to big and the tank is huge they have a little area they relax in so seem quite happy currently.

A short while is ok, just more than a few months and you'll likely begin to have problems......

BIG fish, little tank problems. Commons grow very very very quickly.

Hey guys.

I recently got some danios and one this morning seems to have what I can describe as a fish bone sticking from the side of its mouth.

Also he looks like he can't close his mouth, you can just about see it if you soon into the picture, i'm not sure if I should catch him and gently remove whatever it is.

Danios are always up to something. I would leave it a while to see what happens before trying to remove it (I can't actually make anything out in the pic), as that can often end badly.

I think he has some sort of moth rot the poor bugger, I've isolated him with some plants to rest under, as he is not looking to great

Melafix and crushed garlic to stop secondary infection, it may clear up, especially if it's from fighting other danios.

I think MTS has definitely struck - the 6' tank will look nice with 6 Balas and some clown loaches (and maybe the plec as well ;) )! *grin*

Wow. I've been thinking about buying that Gopro and this might have just sold it to me. Is this just using the waterproof housing that comes with the camera?

Yh sure us as it comes just on a extender pole,  bought it as due to go America next week.

And I also have one of them drones I can attach it to.

First thing I did when I got home was plop it In the thank :)

Oooh, it's got lights and stuff......

Is it actually any good? I've heard from both sides, that it's good for finding problems, but also not very accurate. Do you have to have it plugged into a 'puter all the time?

Yh seems to working well temp is accurate and decent light readings. Seems to be very accurate.

Have to leave it plugged in 6 power it then when my pc is on it syncs I can view the status on my phone and any device on the internet.

More plants...is that a glass heater? If so it needs a guard in case he decides to cuddle it, which they tend to do.
You either have a giant tank, or a small man is trying to catch the fish........ ;) *grin*

Yh I got the guard for the heater and need to place it properly.

Haha sure is, the two pleco I adopted are still looking happy but if they get any bigger another tank will be needed for them.

Been really good the seneye the only problem is it needs a windows pc plugged in all the time.

They are bringing out a wireless server for it soon though.

I've relocated the spray bar to the left hand side to hopefully give the fish more of a area to swim against.
